Dear Friends and Neighbors,

I am honored to serve as your Senator for the 41st Legislative District—including Mercer Island, much of Bellevue, Beaux Arts, Newcastle and parts of Issaquah, Renton and unincorporated King County.

I joined the Washington State Senate on the second day of session and hit the ground running.  I served as prime sponsor of seven bills and co-sponsor of 40 others! I wrote language found at the heart of a constitutional amendment — now heading to the people for approval—giving our judges the discretion they need to protect the public in light of the tragic murders of four Lakewood police officers.

I worked tirelessly to arrive at the constitutionally required balanced budget in a fiscally responsible way, protecting those things we hold dear: education, living wage jobs, environment, health care, and the lifeline of essential services.  (I waived my own per diem compensation during Special Session to help be part of the solution.)

I made our government live within its means, working to close hundreds of millions of dollars of tax loopholes.  For the first time since 1951, the operating budget got smaller – by nearly $1 billion! At the same time, I delivered millions for our District’s parks, community centers, schools, community and technical colleges, and the arts.

Please explore this website to learn more.  Thank you for your continued support for my practical, independent-minded, bi-partisan approach to making our government work – for us.

Sincerely yours,

Randy Gordon
